Recipe adapted from here

Charred Shishito Peppers
  • Wash the peppers and allow it to dry completely
  • Heat a cast-iron pan on high flame. Add olive oil to the heated pan
  • Add shishito peppers on the pan and leave it undisturbed for 2-3 minutes, until it is charred.
  • Flip the peppers and cook the other for 2 minutes. I
  • In the pan, add a teaspoon of oil and add sesame seeds. Let it cook for a minute until they sizzle.
  • Combine the toasted sesame seeds with the charred peppers.
Tahini Dip
  • In a bowl, add tahini paste, olive oil, and warm water. Mix them together until they are combined thoroughly.
  • Add warm water in small amounts until the desired consistency is reached.
  • The dip might be thick but then, stir them vigorously with water or oil until it comes together
  • Add the crushed garlic and lemon juice to the dip. Combine them together
  • Add salt and pepper. Combine them together. Adjust as per your taste
  • Before serving, add olive oil and top with red chili flakes
  • Server charred peppers with tahini dip on the side
