More Kuzhambu | Buttermilk Curry

More Kuzhambu – A quick easy delicious curry for a long day lunch.

Have a long day ahead? Want some quick fix for your lunch? Then, this more kuzhambu will give you a relief!
More Kuzhambhu is a lazy day delicious meal. It can be prepared within 30 minutes and perfect for summer days. Add a potato fry along with this kuzhambu for a complete meal.

Ingrdients:

    3 cups Buttermilk
    ½ tablespoon turmeric powder

    For Grinding:
    4 chilies
    1 teaspoon coriander seeds
    ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
    1 tablespoon Toor dhal
    1 tablespoon raw rice
    ¼ Grated Coconut (Optional)

    For seasoning:
    1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
    1 teaspoon coconut oil
    Curry leaves – few

Method:

    Soak all ingredients mentioned under Grinding except coconut and green chilies for 10 -15 minutes in hot water and grind into smooth paste.
    Keep aside.
    Take buttermilk in a vessel, add turmeric powder and mix well
    Add the grounded paste and mix well
    Bring the mixture to boil. Once it starts boiling, remove it from the flame immediately
    Heat coconut oil in a kadai. Add mustard seeds; once it clutter, add curry leaves.
    Pour the seasoning over the kuzhambu and serve with hot rice
    Add a spicy potato fry along with it to have a complete meal

Newbie’s pitfalls:
Don’t allow the buttermilk to boil. Boiling the mixture will churn the curry.
